For her highly anticipated debut as an Appel Room headliner, Camille Thurman joined forces with one of the leading master drummers on today’s jazz scene, Darrell Green, and his seasoned quartet. Together, Thurman and The Darrell Green Quartet play a collection of their favorite love songs from master American composer, songwriter, record producer, and pianist, Burt Bacharach.
Green convened bassist Buster Williams, a jazz giant who has performed with everyone from Sarah Vaughan to Miles Davis, Nancy Wilson, Art Blakey, Rahsaan Roland Kirk. On guitar, Romero Lubambo showcases his signature playing which unites the styles and rhythms of his native Brazilian musical heritage and the American jazz tradition. On piano, Michael Wolf brings two decades of recording experience to the Appel Room stage, with a veritable hall of fame, including Cal Tjader, Cannonball Adderley, Sonny Rollins, Nancy Wilson, and more.
