BRIDGES
Episode 5
Immanuel Wilkins performing in front of Our Town by Kerry James Marshall

“There’s something about Kerry James Marshall’s figuration of the Black body that feels like abstraction, and that is the site in which I can find myself. It’s where the music can communicate with the piece, and it’s where the painting can become a score. “Our Town” invites us to listen through the image. I wanted to widen the view of the painting with a sound that added another vantage point.”
– Immanuel Wilkins
