Fresh and innovative interpretations of Belafonte’s 1956 release Calypso — the seminal recording that expanded the music’s reach to global audiences — include new perspectives on such enduring hits as “Day-O” and “Jamaica Farewell.” Calypso Re-Imagined celebrates Caribbean culture and the electrifying collaboration between Belafonte and Irving Burgie (a.k.a.
