Three visionaries bring their distinctive projects to the Dizzy’s Club stage. Curated by Clarice Assad, this set features new music from composer-performers Mariel Mayz, João Luiz Rezende, and Carolina Calvache, spotlighting mingling influences from the United States, Brazil, and Colombia. In three short segments, Mayz performs new solo piano works and presents her new string quartet; guitarist-composer Rezende unveils his newly assembled guitar quartet, accompanied by young virtuoso musicians; and Calvache leads her jazz quartet, delivering sounds that cross-pollinate northern and southern regions of the Americas.
