"When I first encountered In Fields Of Light, I was struck by the sheer size of the tapestry and the way light reflected off of it. I couldn't help but think how appropriate the title felt, as if I were actually standing in a field of light. Seeing the work inspired me to use a continuous rhythmic figure between my hands while remaining within a single tonal space. The simplicity and focus of the work compelled me to meditate on one idea and explore its journey.
